What is paint protection film?
Paint protection film, or PPF, is a transparent protective layer applied over a car’s painted panels. It sits on top of the original paint, so the film takes the knocks of everyday driving instead of the paint underneath.
- Stone chips: helps protect against stone chips and road debris.
- Light scratches: helps prevent minor surface scratches.
- Original paint: preserves the original paint finish underneath.
- Showroom look: helps the exterior keep its showroom appearance for longer.
Is PPF the same as window tinting?
No. Paint protection film goes on the painted body of the car and is clear, so the colour of your paint shows through. Window tinting is a different film that goes on the glass to cut heat and glare. You can ask us about both at the same time.
Should I polish my car before PPF?
Paint protection film covers the paint as it is, so swirl marks and scratches already in the paint stay visible under the film. If your paint has marks you would like gone first, ask us whether car polishing would help before the film goes on.
How do I get a PPF quote?
- Send us your car make, model and year on WhatsApp, with a photo of the car.
- We reply with a quote for your car.
- Bring the car to our shop in Ras Al Khaimah.
- Before you leave, ask us how to wash and look after the film.
